Selina Walker
Council Chair

I am a local Ngunnawal woman from Canberra/Yass and have been working in the ACT Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community for many years, and have held numerous roles within that time working with our families.

I have been involved in the CSPACG since the beginning of 2018 and am keen to assist our Catholic families to better help our students.

I care for my three godsons, all of whom attend Catholic schools in Canberra, plus my goddaughter and I do a variety of volunteer work with the kids' schools to emphasise and promote Aboriginal culture and education.

I enjoy netball, basketball and watching rugby league. I also enjoy doing Aborignal artwork and meditation.

I am passionate about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander affairs and strive for equality, sovereignty and recognition of our skills, culture and contribution to this Country. I am a strong activist for our young people and preparing our future leaders.
