Sarah Rose
Hello, my name is Sarah; I was born in Camperdown, Sydney and have lived most of my life in rural and regional Australia. I completed a Bachelor of Education – Primary, through the Australian Catholic University and have taught in the Canberra and Goulburn Archdiocese for over 20 years.
I have been involved with the Catholic School Parents Archdiocese Canberra Goulburn (CSPACG) Council for over five years as a member of council and most recently the Deputy Chair. I have also been fortunate enough to represent the group on the Council of Catholic School Parents (CCSP) NSW/ACT since 2019 as well as holding a position on the Executive for two years. I joined the Council because I am a parent of children in attending Catholic schools and have a genuine interest in promoting positive relationships between children, their families and the school and value the significant impact of positively engaging with parents and families in creating positive outcomes for all students.
When I was appointed into the position of Family Engagement Officer at the Catholic Education Office and the Executive Officer role for CSPACG, I relinquished my positions on the Councils. It is an honour to be appointed into this position and I look forward to continuing my involvement with the Catholic School Parent bodies. I am confident that working with the CSPACG Council in my new role, provides me with the opportunity to continue to promote this important work and support families across all 56 schools.
My husband and I have three boys and we live on a farm near Boorowa. We feel very blessed that our boys are growing up in a community with space, a myriad of pets and animals, supportive educational experiences and countless opportunities for sport and recreation.
I love my veggie garden and nothing more than spending time with my friends and family. I hold family, children and education each in very high regard. I’m passionate about families, in partnership with our Catholic Schools, providing the best opportunities for our children that meet the unique needs of all families within our diverse communities.
I would like to see further opportunities for our Catholic Education families to truly engage with their child’s learning to enhance positive schooling experiences and outcomes for their child. I am passionate about empowering parents and families to value the imperative role they play in ensuring positive outcomes for their child to assist them prepare for their future and the constructive ways in which they can contribute to society.
